CUNA DEL CIELO
Cuna del Cielo is a lush four bedroom oasis on a hilltop above San Miguel de Allende inviting guests to rest and heal in a space of undisturbed peace and beauty.
We are located a 10-15 minutes walk from the main town square, surrounded by the botanical gardens of the Charco del Ingenio with its impressive canyons and waterfalls. Reflecting on that unique landscape we designed the building around water gardens constantly flowing throughout the property and integrating the expansive views and nature harmoniously with the interiors.
An atmosphere of abundance, tranquility and peace permeates the spaces in and around the house, welcomes our guests from the moment they enter and makes it easy to relax and leave the daily worries and routines behind. Cuna del Cielo is meant to be a sanctuary of creation and recreation, nourishing advancement and recollection of the mental, spiritual and physical capacities.
ROOMS
All of the villa's four bedrooms come with their own gardens and terraces for complete privacy and tranquility. The minimalist, Scandinavian-style decor creates a bright, spacious atmosphere, and the custom made exotic wood furniture gives each room an air of elegance and refinement. Each room has its ensuite bathroom with walk-in showers, bathtubs, and Tadelakt wall finish.
We use all natural products for cleaning and avoid hard chemicals wherever possible. Essential oils, incense and sage are applied after each guest to assure energetic cleansing.
WORLD LOFT
The largest room in the villa looks out on the swimpond and enjoys vast views of the countryside. It has a private library and fireplace. Guest can choose between sleeping in the more secluded alcoven or in the sunlit area with the views. Both beds are king size. Bedding is fine natural linen. The huge bathroom is custom made in exotic woods, has a tub and opens to the private gardens.

STAR SUITE
Accessed via the pond and through a covered terrace, this spacious light filled Suite is surrounded by the lush bamboo gardens and has its own private patio with glimpses of distant landscapes. It is the most intimate and secluded of all rooms. Bedding is fine natural linen. The bathroom is custom made in teak wood, has a walk in shower and tub and opens to the private gardens.

SUN DOUBLE
Accessed through the pond, this light filled room faced the pond on one and its own private garden bordering on the Botanical Garden on the other side. It has a cosy warm feel to it. Bedding is fine natural linen or cashmere blend. The bathroom has a walk in shower and japanese tub and opens to the private gardens.

MOON TWIN
Accessed directly at the main entrance and closest to the main house, this light filled looks out to the street and has its own private garden bordering the Botanical Garden. Bedding is fine natural linen or cashmere blend. The bathroom has a walk in shower and japanese tub and opens to the private gardens.​

Viktor Hackl, Founder
I have studied and used naturopathic and alternative methods of healing throughout my adult life. Born and raised in Vienna (Austria) I made San Miguel my base and created Cuna del Cielo as a retreat space for likeminded people. Nurturing challenging, forgotten or suppressed ideas has been a constant passion for me. Experiencing the magic of self healing is among the richest experiences for me and has directed my therapeutic focus on orthomolecular medicine, fasting, diet research and the water therapy.
